She began her modelling career in 1987. She modelled for numerous fashion brands namely L’Oreal, Dior, Versace, etc. She made her first movie début with her film “The Night Train to Kathmandu”; subsequently she appeared in another feature “Two Moon Junction”.

After that she appeared in many movies such as “Return to the Blue Lagoon”, which gave her excessive worldwide notoriety. Her breakthrough film was “The Fifth Element” in which she acted with Bruce Willis and Gary Old man.She played the lead role in the film “The Messenger”.
